This six-foot section of a Cedar of Lebanon tree weighed just over a tonne before being cut. The dogs give a concept of scale.
This series of photos demonstrates the transformation into a large trough for planting bulbs, flowers shrubs etc.
The naturally high resin content of the timber, acts as a preservative and deters insects & beetles that would otherwise feast on the wood.
