A bit about me
I'm Nick Roberts, a self-taught wood craftsman that likes to experiment with different techniques and various types of wood. I established my own workshop to hone my skills and experience.
Timber is a natural product and I like to use good quality or unusual pieces. I'm always on the look out for interesting shaped examples or species.

Large Oak Table
This large oak tree was taken down in a nearby garden
It was then milled on site, into 3 inch slabs.
​
I made a pair of substantial tables with two of the slabs - see also Large Oak Table (2).
​
Each of the slabs, post trimming, measured 12 foot 6 inches long X 3 foot 4 inches wide and had natural wavy edges.
The table frame was also made of oak as it had to be strong enough to support the substantial weight of the tabletop
