This sizable piece of London Plane wood was cut from the same log as the rectangular table.
The tabletop is 2.5 inches thick, about 4 feet across at its widest point and around 7.5 feet long.
Whilst unseasoned it has a pink hue, post drying, it take on a lovely golden brown colour that highlights the eye-catching medullary rays of the timber.
