I was given a commission to create a replica of the blue frog sculpture. This picture (with young boy sitting on) was taken over 30 years ago, it was located next to a small pond. Over the years it had absorbed moisture and had rotted from the ground upwards.

I emphasized that it was unlikely that I'd be able to identically reproduce the original and was generously given artistic license to replicate a similar version. 

I chose a 300kg lump of Sweet Chestnut wood and the finished frog demonstrates a degree of creative interpretation on my part.
