I was commissioned to make a matching pair of candlesticks. 

I had significant latitude with the design - my sole brief was to create an identical set, about 12 inches high.

The wood is Spalted Beech which has wonderfully fine black lines running through the grain. The shape was created to optimize the characteristics of the timber.
